For over a decade, I led WME Theatres’ social media presence, helping the company stand out in its community and setting the standard for how independent cinemas can build audiences, revitalize branding, and transform into thriving cultural hubs. Alongside my work in theatre operations and communications, I’ve also spent the past decade immersed in film production—as a working actor, screenwriter, producer, and score composer.
After being recognized as an industry leader and invited to speak on the Email Marketing and Social Media panel at the Rocky Mountain Theater Convention, I realized how much independent theatres everywhere could benefit from professional communications guidance and advocacy. That insight inspired me to expand my consulting work beyond WME to support other independent exhibitors, filmmakers, and distributors.
My creative and communications background also intersects with policy. From 2017 through 2021, I successfully strategized and advised Rep. Walter Blackman in Arizona on legislative initiatives, including the film tax credit bill that ultimately passed after years of advocacy with the Arizona Film & Media Coalition. More recently, from 2023 through 2025, I worked with MusicPortland and the Jamie Dunphy campaign, developing field organizing and social media strategies that amplified creative-industry voices here in Oregon. I also joined forces with OMPA and actor Bruce Campbell to help secure expanded Oregon film tax incentives.
Today, I’m continuing that work by focusing on the policy future of independent exhibition—compiling data, hearing directly from theatre owners, and developing a comprehensive report to inform future legislation and resources for small and rural cinemas.
